Bid No. 16-048; Terrazzo Restoration and Repairs at Rebecca Johnson School, Duggan Middle School, and Brunton Elementary School
Department of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management- Facilities Division
Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 149 as amended, and other applicable Procurement Statutes.
Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM on September 14, 2015, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.
Scope of work includes: the repair and/or restoration of terrazzo flooring at Three (3) City Schools. The work is to be performed over vacation periods (holiday, February, and April vacations). The total amount of square footage to be restored is 14,945 square feet. The work is to be performed at the Rebecca M. Johnson School, located at 55 Catherine Street, Duggan Middle School, located at 1015 Wilbraham Road, and Brunton Elementary School, located at 1801 Parker Street.
There is an optional site visitation scheduled for Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. beginning at Rebecca Johnson, and proceeding to Duggan and Brunton. For questions regarding the Site visitation, contact Matthew Dovell, DPBRM, (413) 787-6582.
Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available August 31, 2015 in person at the City of Springfield Office of Procurement during normal business hours, or through the City's website; www.springfieldcityhall.com for no charge.
The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so. This project is subject to Federal Davis Bacon Wage Rates and MA Prevailing Wage Rates.
