The Department of Parks, Buildings & Recreation Management, Facilities Division, is seeking qualified Contractors capable of performing Masonry Repairs/Services. The Contract will be a price agreement for an as needed, on-call basis. Chapter 149 requires that the Contractor be certified by the MA Division of Capital Asset Management (DCAM) in the following category of work: Masonry.
The bid requests contractors to provide masonry services for intermittent services at various City locations. The City intends to award a contract to the lowest responsible and eligible bidder. The estimated value of the contract is Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($250,000.00) per year. The City will retain Two (2) one-year renewal options to be exercises at its sole discretion. The bid is governed by Massachusetts General Laws (MGL) Ch. 149 and other procurement statutes.
Bidders can request specifications bid package beginning on August 4, 2015 through the Office of Procurement, 36 Court Street, Room 307, Springfield, MA 01103, between the hours of 8:30 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., or through the City's website; www.springfieldcityhall.com. Please refer to the bid number and opening date when requesting.
All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement at least seven business days prior to bid opening, or August 12, 2015.The City of Springfield goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates may apply.
The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
