Bid No. 16-018; Parking Lot Improvements at Four (4) City Schools
Department of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management- Facilities Division
Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 30 §39M as amended and other applicable statutes.
Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM on August 4, 2015, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.
The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, services, training, insurance, and equipment as needed to complete the scope of services as indicated below.
Beal School - This includes 7,140 sf of new bituminous pavement with 330 LF of new bituminous curbing, 80 LF of 12 inch diameter drainpipe and one new catch basin will allow for 20 new parking spaces. The bid at the Beal school will also include an underground storage tank removal.
Indian Orchard - Sixteen new parking spaces are to be made along the eastern shoulder of the existing parking lot. The new spaces will cover approximately 2,455 sf of new bituminous pavement with 290 LF of new concrete curbing.
Washington - Repair and repaving section of teacher parking lot which is in poor condition.
Dorman - Add parking spaces, repair existing lot and add walkway. This would involve the main parking lot up to the light pole and by dumpster.
The Contractor shall follow all Federal, State and local ordinances, regulations and rules pertaining to such work, including removal methods, storage, transportation and disposal.
Estimated cost of the project is $175,000.00). All questions must be received by the Office of Procurement no later than 7/28/15 in order to be considered. Project specifications will be available on July 17, 2015 at the Office of Procurement during normal business hours or by email request through the City's website.
The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so.
