at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read in the Office of Procurement Bid Room. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 149 as amended and other applicable statutes and reflects the changes of Chapter 193 of the Acts of 2004 relative to M.G.L.c.23A &44 AND M.G.L. c. 7, and 44N.

Mary Lynch School Modular Demolition- the Work under the Contracts consists of building demolition and associated tasks of an approximately 5,200 square foot modular building with four (4) classrooms inside.
Daniel B. Brunton Modular Classroom Demolition- the Work under the Contracts consists of building demolition and associated tasks of an approximately 5,000 square foot modular building with four (4) classrooms inside. All work shall be performed by Massachusetts licensed Contractors in accordance with local, state and federal regulations. Each project is estimated to cost Sixty Thousand Dollars and 00/100 ($60,000.00).

There will be a pre-bid conference for both projects held on 06/30/15. Brunton School walkthrough will be held at 10:00 A.M. and is located at 1801 Parker Street, Springfield MA 01128. Mary Lynch School walkthrough will be held at 11:00 A.M. and is located 315 North Branch Parkway, Springfield MA 01119. Bids are subject to M.G.L. Ch.149 §44A (2) (B) and to minimum Prevailing Wage rates as required by M.G.L. Ch.l49 §26 to §27H / Davis Bacon Wage Rates. All questions regarding specifications must be submitted in writing, to the attention of Theo Theocles, Deputy Procurement Officer (ttheocles@springfieldcityhall.com) or (413) 787-6295 (fax).

Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available June 24, 2015 at www.BidDocsOnline.com (may be viewed electronically and hardcopy requested) or at Nashoba Blue, Inc. at 433 Main Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (978-568-1167).There is a refundable plan deposit of $50.00 per set for the project payable to BidDocsOnline Inc. Bidders requesting Contract documents be mailed to them shall include a separate check for $40.00 per set for UPS Ground (or $65.00 per set for UPS overnight), payable to BidDocsOnline, to cover mailing costs.

The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so.
