Request for Proposals for: Management of Springfield Symphony Hall - Per RFP No. 15-170

At which time the bids will be logged and reviewed privately. Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning June 8, 2015 at 9:00 AM at the office of Procurement or by emailing Theo G. Theocles, Deputy Procurement Officer at ttheocles@springfieldcityhall.com

The City of Springfield, Massachusetts is requesting qualified private management firms to present qualifications, management plans and fee proposals to provide for private management of Symphony Hall.

The City intends to enter into a one (1) year contract for private management services with the selected Proposer. The selected Proposer will be hired as of the execution date of the private management contract, and the selected Proposer will be responsible for booking events at the Symphony Hall commencing on the execution date. The selected Proposer shall be contractually obligated to work cooperatively with the Springfield Performing Arts Development Corporation ("SPADC" or "Previous Manager") and its contractors and staff in connection with events booked by it at Symphony Hall after June 30, 2015.

Questions regarding the RFP may be submitted in writing to the Office of Procurement, Attention Theo G. Theocles, Deputy Procurement Officer at ttheocles@springfieldcityhall.com . Any Questions must be submitted in writing and must be received by the Office of Procurement, not later than 4:00 p.m. June 16, 2015. Questions may be faxed or emailed. The Procurement Department's fax number is (413) 787-6295.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
