Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 30 §39M as amended and other applicable statutes and reflects the changes of Chapter 193 of the Acts of 2004 relative to M.G.L.c.23A &44 and M.G.L. c. 7, and 44N.
Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM on June 18, 2015, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.
The project consists of the removal of two (2) fuel oil storage tanks. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, services, training, insurance, and equipment as needed to complete removal of such materials as indicated below. The Contractor shall follow all Federal, State and local ordinances, regulations and rules pertaining to such work, including removal methods, storage, transportation and disposal.
Estimated cost of the project is Fourteen Thousand Dollars and 00/100 ($14,000.00). A Site Visit has been scheduled for June 10, 2015 @ 11:00 A.M., 1840 Roosevelt Ave, Springfield, MA 01109. Project specifications will be available on June 4, 2015 at the Office of Procurement during normal business hours or by email request through the City's website. All questions must be made I writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than June 11, 2015.
The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so.
