at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning June 3, 2015, at the Office of Procurement from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., or through the City's website. Please refer to the bid number and opening date when requesting.

The Department of Parks, Buildings & Recreation Management, Facilities Division, is seeking Contractors to perform General and Emergency Repairs and Maintenance to eleven (11) School pools and two (2) outdoor municipal pools. The Contract will be a price agreement for an as needed, on-call basis.

The City intends to award a contract to the Contractor that is the lowest responsible and eligible bidder(s). The estimated value of the contract(s) is One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($49,999.99) per. The City will retain One (1) one-year renewal options to be exercises at its sole discretion. The bid is governed by Massachusetts General Laws (MGL) Ch. 149 and other procurement statutes.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
