Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 149 as amended and other applicable state procurement and bidding statutes.
The City of Springfield is seeking a qualified Contractor to provide all materials, labor, and equipment to install new flooring at the John F. Kennedy Middle School Auditorium in Springfield. Work will also include patching or concrete floor sections, some sawing, cutting and filling of trenches for electrical in-floor fixtures, and epoxy painting of remaining outlined floor areas and trim work.
The contract value is estimated to be Forty Five Thousand Dollars ($45,000.00). All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement at least Seven (7) business days prior to bid opening, or January 15, 2015. Contractors are strongly urged to attend a site visit on 1/14/15, 11:00 A.M., JFK Middle School, 1385 Berkshire Avenue, Springfield MA 01151. All bidders are advised that the City of Springfield encourages the use of minority and women-owned business enterprises ("MWBE") and expects a good faith effort to comply with the City's goal of twenty (20%) percent MWBE participation.
