Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 30 §39M. Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM on October 10, 2014, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.
This project is for the Rehabilitation of a City-owned park. Work includes site preparation and demolition, sediment & erosion control, grading, site utilities, storm water management, paving, and various site improvements (including playground improvements, water spray play, timber guardrail, picnic amenities, irrigation, and landscaping).The address of the site is 135 Plumtree Avenue Springfield, MA. Estimated cost of the project is Five Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars and 00/100 ($550,000.00). Bidders are strongly suggested to attend a site visit that has been scheduled for Friday, October 3, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. Contact: Anja T. Contractor must agree to pay Davis Bacon or Prevailing Wage rate whenever applicable. This project is covered by HUD Section 3 and City REO hiring requirements. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so.
