Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning August 6 at 9:00 AM, in person or by contacting the Office of Procurement during normal business hours. This procurement is subject to M.G.L. Chapter 30 §39M, and will be conducted accordingly.

The City of Springfield, through the DPBRM, is soliciting bids for a vendor to provide terrazzo Restoration and repair services at four City Schools. The services will be performed at the following City schools:

Milton Bradley School: Restoration includes hallway floors and cafeteria floors in area consisting of approximately 6,615 Sq. Ft. and terrazzo cove. Van Sickle/Renaissance School: Restoration includes entrance, lobby and hall floors in area consisting of approximately 3200 Sq. ft. Restoration of three sets of 5 limestone stairs approximately 10\' long. Restore approximately 600 Sq. Ft. of elevated terrazzo floor at auditorium entrance. Mary Lynch School: Restoration includes main entrance consisting of approximately 1,361 Sq. Ft. South End Middle School: Restoration includes the main entrance, stairs, lobby outside gym approximately 775 Sq. Ft. plus (10) 10\' long stairs inside entrance (additional main hallway which is approximately 990 Sq. Ft. and two stair landings that are approximately 100 Sq. Ft).

The contract value is estimated to be Ninety Thousand Dollars ($90,000.00). Bidders must submit an OSHA safety certificate with their bid to be considered. All bidders are advised that the City of Springfield encourages the use of minority and women-owned business enterprises (\"MWBE\") and expects a good faith effort to comply with the City\'s goal of twenty (20%) percent MWBE participation.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement at least seven business days prior to bid opening, or August 13, 2014. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
