Price Agreement for Tires and Tubes for Various City Depts.

The City of Springfield Massachusetts (the "City") through its Department of Public Works ("DPW") is seeking bids from a qualified vendor to supply tires and tubes for use on various City vehicles. Orders for tires and tubes will be placed as needed. The City, at its option will award the total bid to one Vendor or award individual lots separately. Successful bidder must have facilities available for mounting tires on passenger cars, trucks, vans, and fire apparatus.

The City intends to award a contract to the most responsive bidder that offers the lowest overall total for the products specified, and has the best quality stock on hand. The value of the contract is estimated not to exceed Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars and 00/100 ($350,000.00) per year. The initial terms of this agreement will be for one year with an option to renew, at the City's discretion, for Two (2) additional one-year periods. Prices are to include delivery to various City Departments within City limits, mounting, and installation.

Bids will be opened and recorded at 2:00 p.m. EST on June 10, 2014.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement at least Seven (7) business days prior to bid opening.

*Bids must be received at this office no later than 2:00 PM EDT on June 10, 2014. The deadline will be strictly observed.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
