14-242 - Locks, Keys, and Other Related Hardware

The City of Springfield Parks, Buildings, Recreation, and Facilities Management is requesting bids from qualified companies to enter into a price agreement contract to supply Corbin Russwin locks, keys, and hardware accessories for use at various sites in the City.

This bid may be awarded to three different suppliers. Vendors selected will supply Corbin Russwin locks, hardware items, latches, closers, deadbolts, keying cylinders, and related items as well as provide on call repair and emergency services. Vendors must be located within a ten (10) mile radius of the Facilities Department located at 233 Allen Street, Springfield, MA 01108.

The Contract is estimated to be $40,000.00 per year. The initial terms of this agreement will be for one year with an option to renew, at the City's discretion, for two additional one-year periods.

Bidders may submit written questions via e-mail to on or before 5:00 pm EST, on April 30, 2014. The email subject line must read: "Keys, Locks and Door Hardware, Bid # 14-242", and emailed to ttheocles@springfieldcityhall.com or mailed to the following address:

The City of Springfield goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
