14-123 - Bus Transportation for Field Trips and ECOS

This bid invitation will be available beginning Monday, November 18, 2013 at the Office of Procurement. All inquiries should reference the bid number and the opening date. To request a copy of the bid you can send a request to Lauren Stabilo at lstabilo@springfieldcityhall.com .

Bid shall cover transportation of school students and certain school staff for field trips or trips to ECOS for the school year 2013-2014 starting in December and ending June 30, 2014. A 5% bid bond is required with each bid submittal. City shall not award a contract to any bidder who does not furnish satisfactory evidence to the City at the time of bid, that it has the ability and experience in school transportation services to meet all the requirements of the City of Springfield Public Schools Department.

The motor bus operator rate of pay per hour will be determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Industries of the Commonwealth. The conditions of employment and minimum wage rates shall prevail in the execution of the work under this Contract.

Questions regarding the IFB may also be submitted in writing to the Office of Procurement. In order to provide prompt answers to questions, the Chief Procurement Officer requests that all Proposers submit written questions seven (7) days prior to the IFB response deadline. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
