at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read in the Office of Procurement Bid Room. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 149 as amended and other applicable statutes and reflects the changes of Chapter 193 of the Acts of 2004 relative to M.G.L.c.23A &44 AND M.G.L. c. 7, and 44N. Chapter 149 requires that the General Contractor be certified by the State Division of Capital Asset Management in the category Demolition.
Bid documents will be available November 21, 2012 at www.biddocsonline.com (may be viewed electronically and hard copy requested) or at Nashoba Blue Inc. at 433 Main Street, Hudson, MA 01749, (978-568-1167). A refundable deposit of $25.00, in the form of a certified or cashier's check to the order of "BidDocs ONLINE Inc." is required. The deposit will be refunded to all who return the documents complete and in good condition to Nashoba Blue within 30 days of the opening of bids. If not returned, the deposit becomes the property of the awarding authority. Deposits may be paid electronically or must be by a certified or cashier's check. One set only is available for the refundable deposit. Additional sets may be purchased for $25.00.
Furnish all labor, materials, equipment and necessary to perform the demolition of 128 Orleans Street. The estimated cost of the total project is $35,000.00. A site visit is scheduled for November 26, 2012 from 9:00am - Noon. Contact Tina Quagliato at 413-787-6500 with inquiries concerning the site visit.

The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to reject any or all responses, if in the public interest to do so.
The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals.
