SPG 12-215 - Leasing of Office and Classroom Space for the Springfield Public School Adult Education Center

The City, through its School Department invites proposals to lease office and classroom space for use by the Springfield Public Schools Adult Education program.

Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge through two channels beginning December 5, 2011 at 9:00 AM:

1. Online at www.comm-pass.com by selecting the Solicitation tab and using the Browse All Open by Entity (City of Springfield) option at any time 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

2. In person at the Office of Procurement, 36 Court Street, Room 307, Springfield, MA 01103 during normal business days, Monday through Friday between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM. Please refer to the bid number and the opening date when inquiring. This bid is subject to M.G.L. c. 30B.

Amount of Space: Approximately 3,500 square feet of net usable area (n.u.a.), including offices, classroom space and storage space. Facility must have a minimum of 3,500 square feet and the Springfield public schools will not pay for any area over 3,800 square feet. Building must be located in the City of Springfield.

Type of space:
1. subdivided office space, approximately eight hundred (800) square feet
2. divided classroom space in a minimum of eight (8) classrooms. No minimum square footage required per room.

Basic term of lease: One (1) year with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year
periods.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement no later than December 22, 2011 by close of business.

The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
