at which time the bids will be publicly reviewed in the Office of Procurement Bid Room.

Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge online through www.comm-pass.com by selecting the Solicitation tab and using the Browse All Open by Entity (City of Springfield) available at any time 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This bid is subject to M.G.L. c. 30B. Bids will be available starting Monday, April 16, 2012.

City has already went out to bid for four (4) Collection Trucks two will be purchased outright and the remaining two (2) will be financed. The awarded bid went to McNeilus. Estimated cost for financing of vehicles is $500,000.00.


The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject and/or all bids and to waive minor irregularities and/or formalities as it deems to be in the best interest of the City. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts.
