11-382 - Removal of Existing Stage Lighting System and Installation of New System at Central High School

The City hereby requests sealed bids for removal of an existing theatrical stage lighting system and replace it with a new stage lighting system located at Central High School. Services include labor and materials for removal, disposal, and replacement of the existing stage lighting system.

A site visit has been scheduled for June 14, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Central High School, 1840 Roosevelt Avenue, Springfield, MA 01103.

This contract is estimated at $160,000.00.

Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available for pick-up at www.biddocsonline.com (may be viewed electronically and hardcopy requested) or a Nashoba Blue, Inc., 433 Main Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (978-568-1167). Bidders requesting documents to be mailed to them shall include a check for $20.00 per set for UPS Ground, payable to BidDocs Online, Inc. to cover the mail and handling costs.

All Vendors shall comply with the Employment Requirements and the Minimum Prevailing Wage as set forth by the Massachusetts Commissioner of Labor and Workforce Development Division of Occupational Safety.

This project is bid as per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 149. Chapter 149 requires that the Contractor be certified by the State Division of Capital Asset Management in the work category - electrical.

Questions regarding the IFB may be submitted in writing to the Office of Procurement. In order to provide prompt answers to questions, the Office of Procurement requests that all Bidders submit written questions by June 16, 2011 by 4:00 P.M. Questions may be faxed or mailed.
