Bid Forms and Contract documents will be available for pick-up at www.BidDocsOnline.com (may be electronically and hardcopy requested) or at Nashoba Blue, Inc. at 433 Main Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (978-568-1167).

There is a plan deposit of $25.00 per set (maximum 2 sets) payable to BidDocs Online, Inc. Deposits may be electronically paid or must be a certified or cashier's check. This deposit will be refunded for up to two sets for bidders upon return of the sets in good condition within 30 days of receipt award. Otherwise the deposit shall be property of the Awarding Authority.

Bidders requesting documents to be mailed shall include a separate check for $40.00 per set for UPS Ground (or $65.00 per set for UPS overnight), payable to BidDocs Online, Inc. to cover mail handling costs.

This bid and the resulting contract are subject to the requirements of Springfield Ordinances 4.14 and 4.15 (Responsible Employer Ordinances). Bidders are advised to pay close attention to the Ordinance Packet included in the bid documents and to meet the requirements of the Ordinances. The work of this contract will be governed by the City's goal of twenty (20%) minority & women owned business enterprise participation. The site will open for inspection on November 8, 2010 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Bidders may contact Tina Quagliato, Office of Housing, at 413-787-6500.

Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 149 as amended, and other applicable statutes. Estimate cost of project is ($240,000.00) dollars.

All bidders are advised that the minimum wage rate schedule, issued by the Division of Occupational Safety is included in the specifications and shall prevail in the work on this project.

Deadline for Questions
All questions regarding the specifications of this request or of the process of this procurement shall be addressed, in writing to the Chief Procurement Officer and received by the close of business on November 10, 2010. Facsimile communications are acceptable.

The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids if it be in the public interest to do so.
