10-349 - Beverage Concession at Barney Carriage House & Emma's Place

The Department of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management is seeking proposals from qualified individuals, corporations or business entities (whether for profit or non-profit) to operate, manage and maintain a beverage concession facility at the above referenced Barney Carriage House and Emma's House. The successful proposal will, at minimum, be licensed to serve alcoholic beverages and concessions, provide affordable, high quality beverage items for consumption in a formal/semi-formal/business casual/casual atmosphere(s) during an operating season of May 1, 2010 (unless such a later date is specifically approved by Owner) - April 30, 2011 possibly seven days per week. Minimum bid offer is $30,000.00 per year.

Questions concerning the RFP may be submitted in writing by 4:00 p.m. May 5, 2010, to Maria Lopez Santiago, at the address above, by fax number (413) 787-6295. Answers will be sent to all vendors who received an RFP through the Office of Procurement.

The concession area is required to be properly outfitted by the Proposer and is required to meet all applicable requirements of law, including health and safety codes and regulations. The concession must be fully prepared to open by a date to be established by the Department but no later than May 1, 2010 (unless such a later date is specifically approved by the Owner).

The Proposer shall be responsible for the design, purchase and installation of any necessary equipment for the concession. The Proposer shall be responsible for the security of concession facility and surrounding area. Include, if necessary, a schematic plan with proposal and particulars to that service area, interior and exterior. Said plans will be subject to Owner approval.

A site visit will be conducted on April 28, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. starting at Barney Carriage House, 200 Trafton Road, Springfield, MA 01108. Bidders may contact Michael Colello, Banquet Manager at the Department of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management (413) 787-7733.
