10-305 - Plumbing Supplies
End date: Thursday January 7, 2010 at 2 p.m.The City of Springfield, Massachusetts, through the Department of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management, Facilities Division seeks to award a contract to the three (3) lowest responsive and responsible bidders for a wide range of plumbing and heating supplies. The awarded contract(s) will include repair and replacement parts, as well as new installation items and specialty items such as steam systems. The purpose of this IFB is to meet the plumbing and heating supply needs of all City of Springfield entities. The resulting contract(s) will allow great flexibility in the purchase of supplies.
Products provided by vendors as a result of this IFB shall generally be commercial grade and meet all Federal, City, and local standards for quality and safety requirements; for example: ASTM, NEMA, and/or UL approved
Award for this contract will be made based on the three lowest responsive and responsible bidders and the percent (%) discount off of the National Plumbing and Mechanical Procurement Guide (NPMPG). Contractor shall be located within a 20 mile radius of the Facilities Department, 233 Allen Street, Springfield, MA 01108.
Plumbing supplies per the requirements and specifications of the City of Springfield for the period of January 1, 2010 through December 31, 2010. Estimated Cost $750,000./year. This is a one year agreement.
The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
