10-029 - Services: Metal Stud Wall Partitions and Miscellaneous Patching

PLEASE NOTE- (8/7/09) Addendum #1 has been issued with clarifications of the bid and the bid due date is changed to 2:00PM, August 19, 2009. Addendum #2 will be issued soon to correct an error with the drawing in some copies given to vendors. We ask prospective vendors to read the addendum carefully and review the bid documents.

Project consists of minor floor to roof deck, metal stud, drywall, and sound insulation wall partitions, with three new doors. All wall partitions shall be taped, sanded and the entire wall surface shall be primed 1 coat. Minor electrical is required for electrical outlets and new ceiling light switching. Miscellaneous patching of adjacent surfaces and reconfiguration of suspended ceiling is also required. All permits for work to be included in pricing.
The project is estimated to cost $55,000.

All questions regarding the specifications of this request or of the process of this procurement shall be addressed in writing to the Chief Procurement Officer and received by the close of business on August 3, 2009. City will respond to all questions by Thursday, August 4, 2009 Facsimile communications are acceptable.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 10 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
