21 - Services: Build-Out of the Springfield Tourist Information Center

End date: Monday August 25, 2008 at 2 p.m.

Project Description: The Work consists of the interior renovation of a 1476 sf tenant space within the Basketball Hall of Fame.

Plans/Specifications Package may be obtained at the Purchase Department Office, (413)787-6284 on August 6, 2008 between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM. All questions regarding the specifications or process of this request must be in writing to the Chief Procurement Officer and must be received by 5:00 P.M. at least seven working days before the time set for opening of the bid. There is a requirement for $25.00 plan deposit for the plan set.

Bidding procedures shall be in accordance with the General laws, chapter 30 § 39M. Estimated Cost of Project is $40,000.00.

Each request must: be accompanied by a non-refundable cashier\'s, money order, or certified check made payable to the City of Springfield in the amount of Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.00), such payment to offset the costs of preparing, reproducing and mailing, to the extent necessary, for the IFB, and any additional material provided pursuant to this bid. Bids will not be made available or mailed until August 6, 2008.

Site Visit: will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at the Basketball Hall of Fame, 1000 West Columbus Avenue, Springfield MA. Contact Thomas Douglas Architects, LLC c/o Tom Douglas at 413-585-0641.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
