208 - Accident Recovery Services

The City of Springfield, acting through the Chief Procurement Officer, issues this RFP to parties who have an interest in becoming the City's firm specializing in comprehensive accident recovery on behalf of the City for all aspects of accident recovery claims. The City requests competitive sealed proposals in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30B sec. 6 for accident recovery services for the period of December 1, 2008 to November 30, 2009, unless extended by the City at its sole discretion.

The Basic Proposal shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of $25,000.00 or an Irrevocable Letter of Credit in the amount of $25,000.00

All questions as to the interpretation of the RFP, Purchase Description and Specifications, Evaluation Criteria and all other contract documents shall be submitted in writing to the Chief Procurement Officer by November 19, 2005 at 4:00 PM. Written answers to such questions will be sent by the Chief Procurement Officer to each person on record as having received the RFP and all documents incorporated by reference therein by November 21, 2008. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least seven business days prior to the expiration of the time set for filing proposals.

The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any minor informalities and to accept or reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.

All bidders are advised that the City of Springfield encourages the use of Minority Owned Business (MWBE) and that the City will not enter into an agreement with any provider of goods or services who has not demonstrated a good faith effort to comply with the City's goal of 20% MWBE participation.
