147 - Services: Board and Secure Vacant Properties

The City of Springfield is requesting bids for the boarding and securing of vacant properties throughout the City of Springfield. The Office of Housing, issues this invitation for bids to contractors who have an interest in furnishing all equipment and labor for the boarding and securing of vacant properties as required by the Office of Housing.

Period of agreement will be from February 1, 2008 through January 31, 2009. The City reserves the right at its sole discretion to renew this agreement for an additional two (2) one (1) year terms. Estimated cost of agreement is $40,000.00.

All questions regarding this bid must be received in writing only at the City of Springfield's, Department of Purchase on January 16, 2008 by 4:00 P.M. Questions may be faxed (413) 787-6295 or mailed.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 10 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
