41 - Police Ordered Towing and Storage Services
End date: Monday September 11, 2006 at 2 p.m.Each request must: (i) be in writing; (ii) be accompanied by a non-refundable cashier\'s or certified check made payable to the City of Springfield in the amount of Fifty Dollars ($50), such payment to offset the costs of preparing, reproducing and mailing, to the extent necessary, the IFB, and any additional material provided pursuant to this IFB.
The City of Springfield, Massachusetts, acting through the Chief Procurement Officer of the City, issues this Invitation for Bids to parties who have an interest in providing the City with Police Department ordered towing and towed vehicle storage services. The City hereby requests competitive sealed bids for submittal at 2:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on Monday, September 11, 2006 unless extended by the City at its sole discretion. This procurement is NOT being conducted under the provisions of Massachusetts General Law Chapter 30B.
The City of Springfield Police Department is requesting bids to provide Police Department ordered towing and storage services, including the disposition of abandoned vehicles and other towing as may be designated by the City for purposes of impoundment of a private vehicle, accident clean-up, and / or storage of a vehicle. This includes the storage of vehicles impounded by the Police Department. Any request for towing, accident clean up, or storage services by a person or entity other than the City is outside the scope of this proposal and any resulting contract.
A pre-bid conference will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2006 at 10:00 AM, at the Springfield Purchase Department, Room 405, 36 Court Street, Springfield, MA 01103. Attendance is optional.
All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Department of Purchase business no later than August 21, 2006 by 5:00 P.M.
The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
