271 - Services: Oil & Gas Burner Servicemen
End date: Thursday April 12, 2007 at 2 p.m.The City of Springfield wishes to enter into an Agreement for Oil & Gas Burner Servicemen. This agreement is for installation, emergency and general maintenance and repair services to oil and gas burners at various Schools and Public Buildings. The vendor(s) must provide twenty-four (24) hour, seven days a week, emergency repair services for oil and gas burners, at a variety of locations.
This price agreement will be based on approximately 600 hours of service annually, with an estimated value of $80,000.00. This price agreement has an option to renew for two additional one- year terms.
A 5% certified check, letter of credit or bond, payable to the City of Springfield, must accompany each bid. A 50% Labor and Materials and Performance bond, shall be required from successful bidder. A letter of credit will be considered from successful bidder in lieu of bonds. Surety bonds will only be accepted by surety companies licensed by the division of insurance to transact business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
The conditions of employment and minimum wage rates as set forth by the Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety shall prevail in the execution of the work under the contract. Wages are subject to minimum wage rates as per MGL Chapter 149, Sections 26-27G. DCAM Update Statement and Certificate of Eligibility is required per MGL Chapter 149.
The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
