at which time the bids will be publicly open and read in the Office of Procurement. The City of Springfield invites all interested, qualified persons or firms capable of providing the requested services, to submit bids to enter into an agreement to provide improvements to Five Mile Pond Boat Launch, 980 Boston Road, Springfield MA 01119. This bid falls under M.G.L. Ch. 30§39M and other procurement statutes.

Project includes installation of sediment & erosion controls, earthwork, paving, installation of fishing decks, fencing, installation of owner-furnished site furnishings, landscape improvements and tree plantings. Estimated value of the contract is approximately $260,000.00. Bid documents can be requested through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com beginning on March 25, 2026.

It is strongly encouraged to attend a site visit on April 1, 2026 at 9:00 AM on site. All questions regarding this bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than April 1, 2026 (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) in order to be considered. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. MA DLS and Federal Davis Bacon Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
