26-090 - Flood Control System Annual Maintenance Project

Project Scope: The City of Springfield Department of Public Works is soliciting Unit Price Bid Proposals to perform annual maintenance services to the City’s Flood Protection System. The project consists of work along approximately three and a half miles of earthen dikes, concrete floodwalls, and pressure conduit. Tasks include, but are not limited to, mowing, brush cutting, herbicide applications, nuisance wildlife control, etc. The contract term is for one calendar year, with an option to renew the Base Bid contract for two additional calendar years at the unit prices as submitted. The project consists of one Base Bid and eight Alternate Bids.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received in writing by the Office of Procurement no later than April 16, 2026 to ad’angelo@springfieldcityhall.com by 4:30 PM. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
