at which time they will be publicly opened and read in the Office of Procurement. Bid documents can be requested through the City’s website; www.springfield-ma.gov during normal business hours beginning on December 17, 2025.

The City of Springfield is seeking qualified contractors to provide lighting upgrades at Stearns Square Park located at 1 Stearns Square, Springfield MA, 01103 This bid falls under M.G.L. Ch. 30§39M and other procurement statutes. Estimated value of the contract is approximately $70,000.00.

It is strongly encouraged to attend a site visit on January 6, 2026 at 10:00 AM on site. All questions regarding this bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than 1/7/26 by 4:30 P.M. (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) in order to be considered. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. MA DLS Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
