At which time the Proposals will be privately opened and read. RFS documents and specifications will be available beginning June 18, 2025 in person at the Office of Procurement or through the City’s website: www.springfieldcityhall.com during normal business hours.

The City of Springfield, MA, in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 7c, Section 44, is seeking the services of qualified firms to perform complete design and construction administration services for the design of the German Gerena Elementary School. Scope of services includes a Feasibility Study, through Schematic Design. Designer's contract may be amended to include Design Development, Construction Contract Documents, Bidding, Construction Administration, Closeout, and Warranty services. The anticipated construction cost is $68,000,000 - $120,000,000 depending on the solution that is approved by the Owner. The Designer’s fee will be negotiated.

There will be a briefing session on July 2, 2025 at 10:00 AM at 200 Birnie Ave. Springfield, MA 01107. All questions regarding this bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received no later than July 7, 2025 by 4:30 P.M. via email to Ben.murphy@skanska.com and John.benzinger@skanska.com in order to be considered. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
