at which time they will be publicly opened and read in the Office of Procurement. The City of Springfield is seeking Contractors to perform semi-annual inspection services for Ansul Fire Suppression Systems and perform maintenance and repairs on any failed system to bring units failing inspection up to code. All work to be performed in accordance with the Fire Suppression system requirements of NFPA 17 or 17A. This IFB is subject to M.G.L. Ch. 149 and other procurement statutes.

The City intends to award a single contract for these services to the lowest responsible and eligible bidder(s). The term of the Contract will be two years, and will be for a total not to exceed $150,000.00.

Bid documents can be requested through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com beginning on May 21, 2025. All questions regarding the IFB or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement on or before May 29, 2025 by 4:30 P.M. (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com). The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. The Chief Procurement Officer or designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all proposals if it is in the public interest to do so.
