Request for Proposals (RFP) Public Works Designer Services: Rehabilitation of Magazine Park

At which time the Proposals will be privately opened and read. RFP documents and specifications will be available beginning April 20, 2022 in person at the Office of Procurement or through the City’s website: www.springfieldcityhall.com during normal business hours.

The City of Springfield seeks qualifications and price proposals from qualified Public Works Design Professionals to perform services for the project entitled: “Rehabilitation of Magazine Park.” The scope of services shall include designer services through schematic design, design development, and preparation of construction contract documents and specification; with an option to include bid and construction phase services (bidding, award of construction contract(s), construction administration, final closeout and warranty period) of the potential Project.

There will be an optional site visit on April 25, 2022 at 10:00 AM on site at the park 65 Magazine St., Springfield MA, at the park’s baseball field. For questions regarding the site visitation, contact Chris Seabrooks at (413) 787-6450 and cseabrooks@springfieldcityhall.com.

The design fee is to be a fixed fee, not to exceed $50,000.00.

Questions must be submitted in writing to the City by close of business on April 27, 2022 in order to be considered. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
