Bid No. 20-096; Condenser Water Loop Repair- Gerena Elementary School
Department of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management- Facilities

Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract and Filed Sub-Bid contracts are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 149 as amended and other applicable statutes.

Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM on 2/6/20, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.

There are no Filed Sub Bids for this project due to the costs and scope of work associated.

The City is seeking bids from qualified firms to enter into an agreement to make necessary repairs to the main condenser water loop for the chilled water system located at 200 Bernie Ave. in Springfield, MA. The estimated value of the contract is not to exceed $60,000.00.

An optional Site Visit has been scheduled for 1/28/20 at 11:00 A.M. at Gerena School, 200 Bernie Avenue, Springfield, MA (Contact: Jonathan Carignan, City of Springfield at jcarignan@springfieldcityhall.com. Bid Specifications will be available in person at the Office of Procurement or through the City’s website at www.springfieldcityhall.com beginning 1/22/20.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement (ttheocles@springfieldcityhall.com) 1/30/20 at 4:30 P.M. The MA MWBE participation goals apply to this project. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates may apply. Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
