at which time the bids will be privately opened and logged at the Office of Procurement.

RFP specifications can be requested in person at the Office of Procurement during normal business hours or through the City’s website, www.springfieldcityhall.com, for no charge beginning on 7/17/19.

The City of Springfield, Massachusetts (the ‘City”), acting through Springfield Police Department (SPD), issues this Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) to parties (individually referred to as a “Proposer”) who wish to submit proposals to provide secure a single Proposer to provide the SPD, for a turn- key Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS), state-of-the-art body worn camera system which offers ease of use, functionality, recording and storage capabilities. Initial contract will be up to Five (5) years in length.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than July 31, 2019, 4:30 P.M. in order to be considered (ttheocles@springfieldcityhall.com). Answers to questions will be made through numbered addenda issued by the City.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
