at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning April 9, 2019, at the Office of Procurement from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., or through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com. Please refer to the bid number and opening date when requesting.
The Department of Parks, Buildings & Recreation Management, Facilities Division, is seeking Contractors to perform On-Call and Scheduled Repairs and Maintenance for Automated Logic equipment throughout the City. Work will consist of preventative maintenance and occasional repairs on an as-needed basis, as well as associated technical support.
The City intends to award a single contract for these services to the lowest responsible and eligible bidder(s). The estimated value of the contract(s) is $50,000.00 per year. The initial term of this contract will be for One (1) year with Two (2) one-year in length renewal options, to be exercised at the City’s sole discretion. The bid is governed by Massachusetts General Laws (MGL) Ch. 149 and other procurement statutes.
All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement by April 16, 2019 at 4:30 P.M. The City of Springfield goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates may apply.
The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
