Department of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management Facilities Division

Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 149 as amended and other applicable statutes.

Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM on May 18, 2018, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.

Interior Painting at the High School of Science and Technology. The City of Springfield Massachusetts (the “City”) through its Department of Parks, Buildings & Recreation Management (“DPBRM”) is seeking bids from qualified firms to perform painting, patching, and other associated prep work to the interior of the High School of Science and Technology, to be performed during summer vacation period. Estimated cost of the project is $65,000.00.

A Site Visit has been scheduled for 4/20/18 at 11:00 A.M. On-site at 1250 State Street, (as listed in Central Register Document). Further Site Visits can be made by appointment (Contact: Matthew Dovell- (413) 787-6582).

Plans and specifications can be picked up in person at the Office of Procurement during normal business hours or through the City’s website for no charge.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement (ttheocles@springfieldcityhall.com) by 5/9/18 at 4:30 P.M. The City of Springfield goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates may apply. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
