At which time the Proposals will be privately opened and read. RFQ documents and specifications will be available beginning on February 3, 2017 in person at the Office of Procurement or through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com during normal business hours for no charge.

The City is seeking the services of a qualified “Designer” with the meaning of M.G.L. Chapter 7C, Section 44-58, to provide professional design and construction administration services for the Renovations to Duggan Middle School Auditorium at Duggan Middle School in Springfield. Selection of a Designer will be made by the Designer Selection Panel of the City of Springfield, in accordance with all sections of M.G.L. Chapter 7C §44-58.

There will be an optional site visit on February 22, 2017 at 9:00 A.M on-site at the school (1015 Wilbraham Road, Springfield, MA 01109). The Design Fee is to be a negotiated fee, not to exceed 10% of the ECC. Estimated Construction Cost is not to exceed $250,000.00. Proposers must submit written questions no later than February 23, 2017 at 4:30 P.M. Questions may be faxed or emailed. The Office of Procurement fax number is (413) 787-6295.

All Proposals becomes the property of the City of Springfield. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to reject any and all proposals if it is in the best interest of the City to do so. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent (20%) minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts.

The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
