299 - PA: Security, Video and Access Control Systems Monitoring, Maintenance and Management Services

The Springfield Public Schools, in conjunction with the City of Springfield, is soliciting a bid for a one (1) year contract with a two (2) year renewal provision to provide Monitoring, Maintenance and Management services to its existing installed security, video surveillance and access control systems at each of the facilities listed within the bid package. In order to provide these services, any vendor submitting a bid must be capable of utilizing all existing components owned by the City. Equipment substitution cost is not a provision of this bid/contract. Vendor must have a minimum of 10 years experience in the monitoring of impact audio activated systems.

The estimated cost is $250,000.00 per year.

The conditions of employment and minimum wage rates as set forth by the Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety shall prevail in the execution of the work under the contract. Wages are subject to minimum wage rates as per MGL Chapter 149, Sections 26-27G. .

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts.

The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
