Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 149 as amended and other applicable statutes. General Bidder must be DCAMM certified in the following trade; HVAC.
Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM on February 7, 2018, at which time they will be publicly opened and read. Estimated cost of the project is $300,000.00. Bidders will be required to pay Prevailing Wages whenever applicable.
The City is requesting bids for the replacement of existing centrifugal chiller at Central High School. The work also includes an alternate for pump replacement. All work will coincide with the attached technical specifications, and drawings provided by BLW Engineers.
Site Visit: Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend a site visit scheduled for January 31, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. on site at Central School (1840 Roosevelt Avenue). Contact: Matthew Dovell; 413-787-6582, with inquiries concerning the pre-bid site visit.
The IFB may be obtained beginning January 24, 2018 electronically by contacting Theo G. Theocles, Esq, Deputy Procurement Officer, via email at ttheocles@springfieldcityhall.com through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com, or in person at the Office of Procurement between the hours of 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.
Questions must be submitted in writing to the City by 2/1/18 in order to be considered. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so.
