At which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. Bid documents will be available beginning on September 9, 2026, through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com. This bid falls under M.G.L. Ch. 30§39M and other procurement statutes.

The City is seeking contractors to furnish all necessary supervision, labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary, to supply, install, and repair various types of fencing throughout the City. The types of fencing may include, but are not limited to; ornamental, chain link, gates, and posts. The City intends to award up to 3 potential contracts to the lowest responsible and eligible bidders. The estimated value of the contract(s) shall not exceed $250,000.00 per year per contractor. The initial term is for one year, but will include two, one year in length renewal options, to be exercised at the City's sole discretion.

All questions regarding the bid or its specifications must be received by The Office of Procurement by 9/16/26 at 4:00 P.M. (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com). The City of Springfields goal of 20% MWBE participation applies. Massachusetts DLS Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
