at which time they will be publicly opened and read in the Office of Procurement. The City of Springfield is seeking bids from qualified firms to enter into an agreement to provide interior painting services at Rebecca Johnson Elementary School. This bid falls under M.G.L. Ch. 149 and other procurement statutes. Work includes, but is not limited to: interior painting and associated labor tasks (scraping, patching, sanding) of selected areas. Bid documents can be requested through the City’s website; www.springfield-ma.gov (during normal business hours) beginning on March 19th 2026.

It is strongly encouraged to attend a site visit on 3/25/26 at 9:00 A.M. on-site at Rebecca Johnson Elementary School, 55 Catherine Street, Springfield, MA 01109. Estimated value of the contract is approximately $50,000.00.

All questions regarding the IFB or its specifications must be received in writing by the Office of Procurement on or before March 26th 2026 by 4:30 P.M. to ZSingleton-Havner@springfieldcityhall.com in order to be considered. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
