at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. Bid specifications and documents will be available March 9, 2022 in the Office of Procurement. This bid is solicited and will be awarded pursuant to M.G.L. c. 30B, §5.

Supply and deliver Seventy (70) carts to Franconia Golf Course and Seventy (70) carts to Veterans’ Golf Course to total one hundred forty (140). Costs shall include drop off to each course for March 1st, 2023 and pickup of all carts at each course on December 1, 2025, unless another date is agreed on by both parties. Carts shall comply with the listed specifications at a minimum. Base bid shall include full service for the above referenced period of time. It shall further include all insurance costs.

Supply, deliver and pick-up additional golf carts as needed by the Department of Buildings, Parks, and Recreation Management on a five-day notice of either of the above mentioned golf courses. All questions must be submitted in writing and received no later than March 18, 2022 at 4:30 P.M. (hbutton@springfieldcityhall.com).

All bidders are advised that the City of Springfield encourages the use of Minority and Women owned businesses. The City’s goal is 20% participation. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
