at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning October 26, 2020, at the Office of Procurement from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., or through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com. Please refer to the bid number and opening date when requesting. The services included in this bid will fall under M.G.L. Ch. 30B and other applicable procurement statutes.

The City of Springfield has approximately 560,000 square feet of irrigated terraces across the City. The City also has approximately 72 acres of ball fields and 10 acres of park land requiring applications. The City’s School property consists of approximately 178 acres. The City is seeking a qualified vendor to perform soil testing, fertilizer and pesticide application and occasional overseeding on an on-call and as needed basis, as well as occasional aeration and overseeding.

The estimated value of the contract is not to exceed $100,000.00. The term of the contract shall be for Three (3) years. The City will award contracts for up to Three (3) responsible contractors.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.

All questions must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than 11/04/20. 4:30 P.M. in order to be considered.
