Bid Detail
17-059 - 3D Laser Scanner System
End date: Monday November 7, 2016 at 2 p.m.The Springfield Police Department, through its City Procurement Department, requests bids to establish a contract for the purchase of a 3D Laser Scanner System, including software, maintenance and support, repair parts, training, and accessories.
The Springfield Police Department recognizes that crash and crime scene documentation provides a means to preserve evidence. Obtaining a 3D Laser Scanner will allow investigators to better document these events and allow for merging of data from a variety of other sources currently in use (static, mobile and aerial, photogrammetry and ground survey) to assist in criminal investigations. It will be used as needed on location throughout the city, and is a new addition to the analysis and presentation of evidence through realistic three-dimensional demonstrative exhibits and models.
Bidder must supply references of three (3) firms to which similar products / service have been provided during the past five (5) years to a comparable-sized institution or company. The City may also utilize other pertinent sources of information regarding services/products provided by the bidder. If contacted, all of those references must verify that a high level of satisfaction was provided.
Bidder must provide in-store or depot repair service for product purchased as a result of this bid. Products will be delivered or shipped prepaid to service center with a maximum of 72 work hour(s) turn-around after receipt of product. Vendor must notify Springfield Police Department (SPD) within 24 hours if the turn-around will exceed 72 work hours.
The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
