Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 30§39M as amended and other applicable statutes.
Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM on July 13, 2016, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.
Development of a City owned 12.25 Acre parcel of land into a formalized park, including; site prep, and demo, sediment and erosion control, grading, site utilities, porous pavement, various site improvements, landscaping, and invasive species management. Estimated cost of the project is $500,000.00.
A Site Visit has been scheduled for 6/29/16 at 10:00 A.M, on-site at the intersection of South Branch Parkway and Briarwood Avenue in Springfield. Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit. Contact Anja Duffy at (413) 726-2100.
Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available June 22, 2016 at www.BidDocsOnline.com (may be viewed electronically and hardcopy requested).There is a refundable plan deposit of $50.00 per set for each project (maximum of 2 sets) payable to BidDocsOnline Inc.
Contractor must agree to pay Davis Bacon or Prevailing Wage rate whenever applicable. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so. The City of Springfield REO applies to this project.
All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement by July 6, 2016, 4:30 P.M. The City of Springfield goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
