12-190 - PA: Wireless Communication Products

Bid documents will be available at no charge through two channels beginning October 25, 2011. All inquiries should reference the bid number and the opening dates.

1. Online at www.comm-pass.com by selecting the Solicitation tab and using the Browse All Open by Entitiy (City of Springfield) option at any time 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Vendors can search open solicitations for this bid under "SPG 12-190".

2. In person at the Office of Procurement, 36 Court Street, Room 405, Springfield, MA 01103 during
normal business days, Monday through Friday between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM. Please refer to the
bid number and the opening date when inquiring. This Bid is subject to M.G.L. c. 30B.

The purpose of the above bid is to supply wireless communication products to Springfield School Department locations within the City of Springfield. These should include the following: Portable Radios, Batteries, Chargers, Belt Clips, Speaker Microphones, Replacement Whip Antennas, Stubby Antennas, Holster w/D-Rings, Shoulder Straps etc.

Price agreement period will be from November 15, 2011 - November 14, 2012 with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year terms. Estimated cost is $ 50,000.00 per year.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement at least seven business days prior to bid opening.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts.

The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
