7 - RFP: Electronic Health Record System for the Homeless

The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals for the purchase of a fully data-integrated electronic patient care system that will facilitate electronic medical records and core business functions for Springfield Health Services for the Homeless, a program of the Springfield, MA Department of Health & Human Services (herein referred to as HSH). Deliverables will include the system, implementation, training, ongoing support, maintenance and enhancements. The City hereby requests competitive sealed proposals in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30B, § 6, for a Electronic Health Records System for the period September, 2006 to August 31, 2007, unless extended by the City at its sole discretion. The City reserves the right at its sole discretion to renew this Agreement for an additional four (4) one (1) year term.

Bid documents will be available July 10, 2006 at the Department of Purchase.
Estimated Cost is approximately $80,000 for 1st year. Period of contract is five years.
The City hereby requests competitive sealed proposals in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30B, § 6.

Bid Deposit
Requests to receive a copy of the RFP must be accompanied by a non-refundable deposit of $25.00 in the form of a certified or bank check made payable to the City of Springfield.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Department of Purchase at the close of business on Wednesday, July 26, 2006.
