at which time the bids will be publicly open and read in the Office of Procurement. Bid documents can be requested through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com beginning on September 30, 2026. This bid falls under M.G.L. Ch. 30§39M and other procurement statutes.

The City of Springfield invites all interested, qualified persons or firms capable of providing the requested services, to submit bids to enter into an agreement to provide improvements to Marshall Roy Park, 162 El Paso St, Springfield, MA 01104. Project includes earthwork, installation of: owner-furnished site furnishings, new playground structure and equipment, new play components on an existing playground structure, cast-in-place concrete work, fencing and landscaping. Estimated value of the contract is approximately $135,000.00.

It is strongly encouraged to attend a site visit on October 7, 2026 at 10:00 AM on site. All questions regarding this bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than 10/7/26 (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) in order to be considered. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. MA DLS Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
