18-064 - Flood Protection Rehabilitation Project for DPW

There is a plan deposit of $50 per set (maximum of 2 sets) payable to BidDocs ONLINE Inc.
Deposits may be electronically paid or must be a certified or cashier’s check. This deposit will be refunded for up to two sets for general bidders upon return of the sets in good condition within thirty days of receipt of general bids. Otherwise the deposit shall be the property of the Awarding Authority. Additional sets may be purchased for $50. Bidders requesting Contract Documents to be mailed to them shall include a separate check for $40 per set for UPS Ground or $65 per set for UPS Overnight, payable to BidDocs ONLINE Inc. to cover mailing costs. Please refer to the bid number and the opening date.
Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 30 section 39M. The conditions of employment and wage rates, as set forth by the Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety shall prevail in the execution of the work under this contract.
Project Scope: The City of Springfield is soliciting Unit Price Bid Proposals to rehabilitate the City’s flood protection system. Work will address multiple deficiencies including floodwall replacement, parapet wall replacement, and 4,600 linear feet of toe drain replacement; including manholes. Estimated cost of the project: $2,000,000
The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement no later than May 9, 2018 by 4:00 P.M. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
