At which time they will be publicly opened and read in the Office of Procurement. Bid documents can be requested through the City’s website: www.springfieldcityhall.com beginning on August 27, 2025. These IFBs are subject to M.G.L. Ch. 149 and other procurement statutes. The City intends to award a single contract for these services to the lowest responsible and eligible bidder(s). The initial term of these Contracts will be One (1) year, but will include Two (2) one-year in length renewal options, to be exercised at the City’s sole discretion.

26-023 – The City is seeking a qualified on-call contractor for commercial kitchen refrigeration repairs for refrigeration equipment located in the Springfield Public Schools. Contractor is to provide labor and materials on an on-call basis as determined by the Springfield Public Schools. The estimated value of the contract is not to exceed $100,000.00 per year. Bidders must be DCAMM certified in general contracting or HVAC.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received in writing by the Office of Procurement by September 4, 2025 at 4:30 P.M. (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com). The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation in all contracts. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
